"Highly Commended Award" in the Fauna Category, FOTOCAM 2009: "Double reflection"

In November 2009 I recieved a "Highly Commended Award" in the Fauna Category

in the FOTOCAM 2009 Competition (XV edition).

In the split seconds that take place between two waves, luminous effects suddenly happen over the thin film of water, at the same time that the water recedes and the sanderlings (Calidris alba) scurry across the sand.

Taken with a monopod, kneeling over the wet sand, I chosed a low angle that allowed me to catch a double reflection over the blue bands, freezing the jump of the sanderling and its legs splashing.
